About Us

The early people of the great Southwest, loosely categorized under the amalgam Anasazi, understood the concept of prime real estate. Holding three prominent regional landmarks sacred (the Rio Grande, Cabezon, and Sandia Peak), these ancestors of today’s Pueblo people gravitated to areas where all three could be viewed. The archeological record shows that the lower foothills of Placitas are such a place.

The natural splendors of Anasazi Trails and Anasazi Meadows are the very rhythm of life in this storied part of New Mexico. Since the late 1980s, the people of Placitas have celebrated this unique place. The infrastructure is quietly unobtrusive, from underground utilities to meandering paved roads and a private community water system, high-speed Internet access, and digital cable TV. Gently rolling lots of ¾ to 2+ acres are platted for maximum privacy with offset building pads to preserve the pristine views (236 total lots, over 180 homes already built). Our carefully constructed Covenants, Codes, and Restrictions (CC&Rs) are designed to maintain the value and desirability of your investment for as long as possible.

Residents and their guests may enjoy a pleasant walk along our unique landscaped walking trails, hike up the arroyo, or play tennis in the centrally located 8 acres of common area. We are a picturesque and private neighborhood with a sense of community. It's a quick trip to two great metropolitan areas offering world-class restaurants, boutiques, and galleries. This is a wonderful place to live!
